Nagpur (India), September 24, 2007 - EDISPHERE Software celebrated 'Chak De India' moment in Takiya, during a live band organized for Takiya residents to celebrate the Ganesh festival, which coincided with T20 Cricket World Cup finals between India and Pakistan.  The last thrilling overs were watched by hundreds of Takiya residents who had gathered for the show, and as soon as India won the match, the band and the crowd 'erupted' singing Chak De India song along with fire crackers all over the Takiya lanes. 

The occasion also included prize distribution to Takiya children in various competitions which are organized as part of EDISPHERE CSR activity from time to time. Takiya is a nearby slum of 5000 households where EDISPHERE Software imparts Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. 

Speaking at a brief intermission in the show, Ajay Sanghi, Founder and Managing Director of EDISPHERE Software appreciated the efforts of Takiya children in making good use of English and Mathematics classes offered in Takiya Library and their improved performance in the internal tests.  Mr. Sanghi appreciated the cooperation of Takiya residents, in particular, Mrs Itankar, who runs a Kirana shop in Takiya; Vijay, a school going boy in Takiya who proactively volunteers in Takiya CSR activities, and Mrs Wadwe, who ensures that Takiya library opens/closes on time and is kept clean. Mr Sanghi also appreciated the untiring efforts and dedication of Mr. Banait, the English and Math teacher who teaches Takiya children in the Takiya library.  

Earlier, Aneeta Vijayakar, Director (Human Resources) and head of EDISPEHRE CSR program, appraised Takiya residents of the CSR activities that have been ongoing in Takiya since March 2007, which includes programs in Education, Health & Hygiene, Skills Development and Social Integration.
